A Heartwarming Christmas Special
On Thursday, December 20th, our Community Café at All Saints Church was transformed into a brilliant 'Christmas Special'. While Christmas can be a challenging time for many as we remember those we miss and the special moments we've shared over the years, this event provided a chance to come together, celebrate, and support one another.
Thanks to the volunteers from Vodafone and our own dedicated Link volunteers, over 150 people gathered for a memorable event filled with music, reflection, and community spirit.
The morning began with Christmas songs led by Soph Tartellin from Sing for Yourself. Her talent for engaging everyone in the room with music and singing is second to none. The brilliant St Sebastians Brass Band added to the festive atmosphere with their inspiring and moving musical interludes.
Rev Hannah Higginson led a poignant reflection, helping us remember those we might miss during the Christmas period. As we made and lit Christingle Candles, the familiar sounds of "Silent Night" played by St Sebs Brass Band created a serene and reflective tone.
The celebration concluded with a delicious lunch, featuring an array of sandwiches, cakes, mince pies, and mulled wine. It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the Christmas season together, fostering friendship and reminding us that we are not alone.
This is our second year of celebrating Christmas in this way, and it has become a firm favourite in our calendar of events. Please join us this year if you can! You will love it, and we will love seeing you there too. Mark your calendar: Thursday, December 18th, 11am to 1pm, 2025 at All Saints Church!
