Festive Cheer at Community Kitchen

We had a fantastic time on Sunday at Community Kitchen - Christmas edition! 😁 A big thank you to The Rotary Club of Reading Maiden Erlegh sponsoring the special gathering at the Floreat Montague Park School.

This event was funded using monies raised at their Annual Charity Golf Day held in July.

50 Link Friends were pleased to attend the afternoon tea organised by Fiona Wright, Community Kitchen Leader. Our fantastic volunteers were in the kitchen preparing freshly made cakes, snacks and sandwiches while others transported guests to the event.

The tables were decorated beautifully and all the guests joined in singing Christmas carols. Everyone received a gift and goodie bag to take home.

Fiona reminded guests that they have no reason to spend Christmas Day at home alone as the Link Christmas Day Lunch is available to ALL members of the Link Visiting Scheme. If they are not able to leave their home a meal and Christmas gifts will be delivered to them at home.
