Rotary Charity Golf Tournament in support of The Link Visiting Scheme

In the morning sunshine on 25th April, Easthampstead Rotary Club held their biggest annual fundraising event, a Charity Golf Day at East Berkshire Golf Club, with our charity as the main beneficiary. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped us to raise much-needed funds.

A fantastic 19 teams took part, including teams from Blandy & Blandy Solicitors and AspenTech. The winning team "Welding Wackers" most generously donated their prize money back to The Link, as did the other prize winners. We ran a ‘nearest the pin’ competition on the 5th hole, kindly sponsored by John Pratley and Sons, and raised an amazing £535.   

Once again, Sports Presenter Ady Williams acted as master of ceremonies. He conducted the auction in his usual quick-fire way, raising a fantastic £2,985 from lots including those from Ascot Racecourse and Anvil Forge. 

Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner and the raffle prizes were collected.

We are feeling very grateful for such fantastic support from our good friends at Easthampstead Rotary and what a fab club too.
